AZ Swimstars Training Camp 2025

‍AZ Sport Scholarships is proud to announce the launch of the first AZ Swimstars Training Camp, a comprehensive swimming camp for athletes aged 12–20, taking place at the A.G. Dimitropoulos Outdoor Swimming Pool in Glyfada from August 25 to 30, 2025!

Just before the start of the new competitive season, participating swimmers will have the opportunity to meet distinguished coaches and swimming figures from both the U.S. and Greece — such as Kyle Schack, Associate Head Coach of the renowned Yale University, and Olympian Andreas Vazaios. At the same time, they will follow a carefully designed training program that reflects the latest global coaching trends and the requirements of top university swimming programs offering scholarships.

Specifically, each participant will:

• Improve their technique across all swimming strokes, with emphasis on personal weaknesses
• Be properly prepared for the upcoming season through a personalized set of in-pool and dryland workouts

The program includes:

• Personalized technical analysis for all strokes (including underwater video footage)
• Lactate threshold testing
• Group seminars on sports nutrition (pre-competition meals, hydration strategies)
• Individual and group sessions in sports psychology

During the six days of the AZ Swimstars Training Camp, athletes will also:

• Interact with sports psychologists, nutritionists, and physiotherapists
• Receive academic guidance from experienced educators specializing in English proficiency test preparation (SAT, TOEFL, DUOLINGO, IELTS)

This holistic approach aims to promote the athletic, academic, and personal development of every swimmer who joins the camp.

At the end of the camp, each participant will receive their personal report with staff evaluations.

All proceeds from the camp will be donated to support young para-athletes through training and competition development programs by EAOM-AMEA (eaom-amea.gr).
