AZ Swimstars Training Camp 2026

Following the success of the first AZ Swimstars Training Camp, AZ Sport Scholarships is dynamically returning in the summer of 2026 with the continuation of this innovative event for Greek swimming standards!

The AZ Swimstars Training Camp is a high-performance swimming camp for athletes aged 12–20, significantly upgraded this year with the addition of coach Jamer Bletscher from Purdue University (whose collegiate swimming program ranks in the Top 25 in the USA).

The American coach, together with the distinguished Vasilis Demetis, Andreas Vazaios, and many special guests, promise a unique experience for participants that goes beyond the narrow limits of swimming!

What the camp includes

• Daily high-level training sessions focusing on technique improvement and personalized corrections for each athlete
• Specialized guidance on turns, starts, and technique in all swimming strokes
• Targeted technical drills designed to enhance in-water performance
• Educational talks and presentations on sports nutrition, athlete mental preparation, race management, and handling competitive pressure, as well as academic orientation
• Presentations about the life of a student-athlete in the United States and opportunities within the American university system
• Information on the process of athletic scholarships in the USA and the stages of recruiting
• Interactive and group activities of educational and recreational nature
• Daily lunch

Indicative Daily Schedule

• Arrival: 08:30
• Morning training: 09:00 – 11:00
• Transfer to the hotel for lunch, rest, and activities under staff supervision
• Afternoon training: 16:00 – 18:00
• Departure: 18:00
